    3 cups cooked chickpeas

    1/4 cup flour

    1/4 cup ground flax seed

    1 tbsp baking powder

    3/4 tsp baking soda

    1/4 tsp salt

    1 tsp vanilla extract

    1/4 cup apple sauce

    1/4 cup peanut butter (PB2, ideally)

    1/2 cup sugar

    1/4 cup maple syrup (optional)

    1/4 almond milk

    1/3 cup chocolate chips

    2-3 medium pears, peeled and diced


Used splenda with success.
Baked in 8x8 pan. Aluminum foil after ~30 minutes. Not quite done after 40 minutes, turned off oven & let cook on retained heat for a couple of hours because I left the house. Product was gooey and delicious on the inside with a nice golden top.

Second time baked in 8x12. Took out after approximately 45 minutes baking time. Accidentally omitted maple syrup and did not miss it at all.


Preheat the oven to 350 F and oil a 8 x 12 baking pan. In a food processor or blender, blend everything, except chocolate chips and diced pears, until smooth. Add the chips and the pear, mix well and place in the baking pan and cook for 40 minutes.
