Introduction
The taco sour cream sauce really makes this dish. You could add veggies if you'd like, but we always eat them plain. The taco sour cream sauce really makes this dish. You could add veggies if you'd like, but we always eat them plain.Number of Servings: 6
Ingredients
-
1/4 cup light sour cream
1/4 cup light mayo
2 Tablespoons chopped cilantro
1 package taco seasoning mix
6 pieces tilapia, 3.5 ounces each
1 Tablespoon vegetable oil
2 Tablespoons lemon juice
6 taco shells, warmed
Tips
I've found it's easier to put the sour cream mixture into the taco shell first, then top with the fish. It makes less of a mess.
Directions
Cut the tilapia into 1 inch pieces.
Combine sour cream, mayo, cilantro and 2 Tablespoons seasoning mix in a small bowl.
Combine fish, oil, lemon juice and remaining seasoning mix in another bowl. Mix well.
Pour fish mixture into a large skillet and cook, stirring constantly, over medium high heat for 4 to 5 minutes.
Fill warmed taco shells with the fish mixture.
Top with sour cream mixture and enjoy!
