Ingredients
-
Quaker Oats - Quick 1 Minute - Dry, 1 cup
Water- tap, 2 cup (8 fl oz)
Kosher Salt - pinch
Apple - Any variety, 1 medium
Cinnamon - ground, 1 tbsp or to taste
Nutmeg - ground, 1 tsp
Pure Vanilla Extract - 2 tsp
Maple Grove Farm Maple Syrup (sugar free), 0.25 cup
Directions
Put 2 cups of water and a dash of salt on to boil.
Dice apple - I like to leave the pieces about 3/4 in. in size, since they cook down a bit.
Once the water is boiling, add your oats and stir. Wait 1-2 minutes, and add your vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Once that's stirred in, add your apples and stir some more. Let it cook about another minute or so, then add your maple syrup. Stir, and cook until the apples are just softening.
Serve with a sprinkle of cinnamon on top.
Serving Size: Makes two hearty portions.
