Ingredients

    4 1/2 cups of mixed cooked beans (I used Great Northern, Red Kidney, and Pinto)
    2.5 cups chicken broth
    3 cloves of garlic, minced
    2 tbsp ground cumin
    1 tbsp dehydrated bell pepper
    1 tsp black pepper
    1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
    1 tbsp butter
    1 medium onion, diced
    4 stalks of celery, diced
    1 14-oz Hillshire Farm Polish Kielbasa, diced

Tips

Serve over rice. Delicious!


Directions

Combine beans, broth, and spices in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil, then cover, reduce heat and simmer. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat and cook onions and celery for about five minutes. Add veggies to beans, then add the kielbasa to the skillet and cook over medium-high heat til it begins to brown, about five minutes. Add to beans, then add enough water to cover all the ingredients. Bring to a boil again, then simmer over low heat for about thirty minutes.

Serving Size: 7 one-cup servings.
