Ingredients

    Turkey, Ground turkey, 93% lean, 1 lb
    Bell Pepper, Green (sweet) - 1 large, chopped
    Bell Pepper, Sweet Red,1 medium chopped
    pepper yellow sweet,1 medium chopped
    Garlic, 2 clove minced
    Low sodium chicken broth, 4 cup
    Canned Tomatoes(diced), 1 can
    Water, tap, 2 cup
    Minute instant brown rice, 0.75 cup
    Pepper, black, 1 tsp
    Chili powder, .5 tsp
    Paprika, 1 tsp

Tips

Sprinkle each serving with cheese.( not in Nutritional info)


Directions

1. In a large skillet cook ground turkey, onion, sweet peppers, and garlic over medium heat until meat is browned and vegetables are tender. Drain off fat.

2. In a 4- to 5-quart slow cooker combine turkey-vegetable mixture, broth, the water, tomatoes, black pepper, chili powder, and paprika.

3. Cover and cook on low-heat setting for 8 to 10 hours or on high-heat setting for 4 to 5 hours. If using low-heat setting, turn to high-heat setting. Stir in rice. Cover and cook for 30 minutes more or until heated through.
