Number of Servings: 40

Ingredients

    1 Cup butter - softened
    1/2 cup brown sugar- packed
1 3/4 cup all purpose flour
    3/4 cup pecans, finely chopped.

Tips

These are a bit plain, but Ive heard that if you add powdered sugar to them as soon as they come out of oven, then it gives them a little extra sweetness.

Directions

Mix flour and nuts and set aside. Cream sugar and butter until well combined and slowly add in flour mix until incorporated and dough sticks. Flatten ball of dough a bit and wrap in plastic or parchment paper and let sit for at least an hour in refrigerator.

When you are ready to bake, preheat oven to 300F. Roll dough between 2 sheets of wax paper, or your parchement paper until about 1/4 thick. Use a cookie cutter dipped in flour or a pizza cutter to make strips and place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Cook about 15-20, depending on thickness until edges become slightly golden brown.
