Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    4 Slices of White Bread (sides cut) Danish Bread prefered
    2 tbspn Butter
    2 tbspn Pineapple Jam
    2 tbspn Cherry Conserve
    500ml Full Fat Milk
    6 tspn Sugar
    2 tbspn Custard Powder

Tips

Add 1 tbspn of orange juice before pouring custurd onto each slice. Orange juice enhances any flavour. Decorate with fresh cream/ jelly. Add more fruits


Directions

- Bring the milk to a boil
- Add Sugar and stir
- Mix the custard powder with a little of the hot milk and pour back in the boiling milk
- On a slow fire give a stir and off the fire
- Meanwhile butter each bread slice
- Apply 2 bread slices with cherry conserve and other 2 with pineapple jam
- put them one by one in a deep bottom tray.
- After each layer pour in the hot liquidy custard
- Allow it to cool and then refrigerate overnight
- Cut into 4 sections. Serve chilled
