Ingredients

    1 Tbsp olive oil
    1 lb Smoked chicken/turkey sausage
    1 cup diced onion
1 Tbsp minced garlic (about 2 fresh cloves)
    2 cups chicken broth
1 (10 oz.) can diced tomatoes
8 oz dry pasta (any small pasta will do)
    1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Directions

Add olive oil to saute pan over medium high heat. Add sausage and onions until lightly browned. Add garlic for about 30 seconds. Then, add milk, broth, tomatoes, and pasta. Bring to a boil, cover, and reduce heat. Simmer for about 15 minutes or until pasta tender. Turn off heat and stir in 1/2 cup cheese. I found this recipe on Pinterest about a year ago, and make it at least once a month, only we use colby jack cheese, add half of a diced onion to the sauteeing sausage, and sprinkle with green onions once fully cooked. It's very filling and freezes well! - 7/21/15

About to make this tonight but nothing in ingredients for milk but in recipe below you say to add milk, broth, tomatoes, & pasta. How much milk is to be added, nothing listed for milk above?? - 6/13/16

    Good
used four med thin sliced potatoes instead of pasta. Not sure about the milk so I added about third cup. I used cheddar cheese that I had on hand. Also added italian seasoning and chives along with s&p to taste - 12/11/15
