Introduction

A few week's ago, my boyfriend made the BEST pasta dish. With a few tweeks, I've made my own rendition and it is diving. Ingredients

    3/4 lb whole wheat pasta
    1 lb italian turkey sausage
    fresh basil, minced
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1 medium yellow onion, diced
    1/2 yellow bell pepper, diced
    1 package frozen spinach
    1 package fresh mushrooms, diced or sliced
    2 cans diced tomatoes
    1 cup reduced sodium chicken broth

Tips

Serve with fresh parmesan cheese on top and warm, crusty french bread (not calculated into recipe).


Directions

Boil pasta.
Meanwhile, brown sausage. Add onion, pepper, garlic, spinach, and basil. Drain pasta, add to sausage mixture. Stir in tomatoes, mushrooms, and broth. Simmer with lid on for 5 minutes. Stir, remove lid, and simmer for another 15.

Serving Size: Makes 6 generous servings! (purely estimated, makes a huge pot)
