    3 Cups Sugar
3/4 cup (1&1/2 sticks) butter or margarine
1 small can evaporated milk (5 oz)
1 11.5 oz pkg milk chocolate morsels
    1 jar (7 oz) Jet-puffed marshmallow creme
1 cup chopped nuts (I use pecans)
    1 teaspoon vanilla

Heat sugar, butter and milk (pet) to full rolling boil in a heavy 3 quart saucepan on medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil on medium heat until candy thermometer reaches 234degrees F. Stirring constantly to prevent scorching, about 4 minutes. Remove from heat.
Stir in chocolate chips and marshmallow creme until melted. Stir in vanilla and nuts.
Spread immediately into a foil lined 9x13 inch pan. Cool at room temperature at least 4 hrs.
Cut into 12 inch squares. Store in airtight containers.
Makes 3 lbs.

  • Hello, I am just wondering how you get only .2 grams of fat in this when the butter, milk, chocolate and nuts have lots of fat. No doubt, this is a super tasting recipe. Hard to believe only .2 grams fat. - 4/29/11
