crockpot refried beans, fat free crockpot refried beans, fat free
Number of Servings: 11

Ingredients

    1 pound pinto beans, dry (about 2.5 cups)
    1 onion, quartered
    4 cloves garlic, chopped
    1 jalepeno, quartered
    4 teaspoons salt
    8-9 cups water (8 if you presoak beans, 9 if you don't)
    1 tsp cumin (or more
    whatever other seasonings you like

Tips

The sodium is probably vastly lower than this is calculating because you drain most of the water. I don't know how to account for that.


Directions

add everything to crockpot, cook overnight, 6 hours high, 8 hours low, or some sort of combination. When done, drain, reserving liquid. Mash and add back as much liquid as needed. I only needed about a 1/2 cup last time I did it.
