Introduction
Delicious homemade baked mac and cheese without high sodium cream soups or preservatives. Delicious homemade baked mac and cheese without high sodium cream soups or preservatives.Number of Servings: 9
Ingredients

2 chicken breasts, cooked; shredded or cubed
2 C shredded cheddar cheese, divided
5 cups cooked pasta
2 C cooked broccoli, chopped or florets
2 Tbsp butter
2 Tbsp flour
1 cup 2% milk
4 slices thick cut Farmland Bacon, cooked and crumbled
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Cook pasta. Place in large bowl with cooked chicken and broccoli.
Make a roux with flour and butter; cook for a few minutes, slowly add milk whisking. Cook on medium whisking often until sauce thickens. Add salt, peper, whatever seasonings you prefer. I like to add a little dried mustard.
Remove from heat, add 1 c. of the cheese, mix til smooth. Pour over pasta mixture.
Place mixture into prepared baking dish. Top with bacon and remaining cheddar. Cook in preheated oven for 30 min or until bubbly, maybe a little browned on top.
