Introduction
Easy all-day crock pot recipe - creamy scalloped potatoes and tender, juicy pork chops. Easy all-day crock pot recipe - creamy scalloped potatoes and tender, juicy pork chops.Number of Servings: 7
Ingredients
-
7 pork chops, bone in (~6 oz meat each)
6 medium potatoes
1 medium onion
1 10.75 oz can cream of celery soup
1/3 cup honey mustard
2 chicken bullion cubes
1 1/2 cups hot water
Garlic powder, salt and pepper to taste
2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
Directions
1. Heat oil in large skillet and brown pork chops on both sides. You should not cook the pork chops all of the way through, only brown them.
2. While the pork chops are browning, slice the potatoes very thinly. I find it easiest to use the slice 'setting' on my cheese grater.
3. Dissolve the chicken bullion cubes in hot water
4. In the base of your crock pot or slow cooker, combine the cream of celery soup, honey mustard and spices. Add the chicken bullion/water mixture and whisk together until well combined.
5. Place a thin layer of potatoes at the bottom of the slow cooker, making sure to coat with the soup mixture.
6. Add a layer of pork chops, using your hands to coat with soup mixture.
7. Repeat steps 5 and 6 until all potatoes and pork chops are used.
8. Set on low for 6-8 hours.
9. Enjoy! Yum!
