Ingredients

    diced ham
    black eyed peas
    salsa
    water
    salt
    garlic salt
    pepper
    diced onion (fresh or frozen pre-diced)

Tips

I used a bag of froze, diced onion to save prep time. If dried beans are preferred, add 6 cups water and cook in slow cooker for 3-4hrs on high.


Directions

Combine 1-15oz can rinsed black eyed peas, 1 cup diced onion, 8oz diced ham, 1/4tsp salt, 1/4tsp garlic salt, 1tsp pepper, and 3 cups water in pot and heat on low. 30 minutes before serving, add 3/4c salsa.
