Introduction

Ingredients

    1 dash Salt
    3 clove Garlic
    3 cup, chopped Kale
    3.25 serving Russet Potato (5.3 oz. ) 1 potato
    5 serving Shady Brook Farm Italian Turkey Sausage (1 link)
    0.50 tsp Crushed Red Pepper
    1 serving sweet yellow onion, raw (1 medium onion)
    7 serving Bacon - Hormel Real Crumbled Bacon, 1tbsp
    6 fl oz Half and Half Cream
    12 serving Broth, chicken: College Inn, Light & Fat Free, 50% less Sodium, Chicken Broth, 1 cup/serv

Tips

For a thicker consistency use a potato masher to mash up the potatoes a bit in the pot once cooked through


Directions

1. Chop or slice uncooked sausage into small pieces.
2. Dice onion into small pieces
3. In your soup pot, combine sausage and onion and cook through until sausage is browned and onions are translucent.
4. Add chicken broth and water to pot and stir.
5. Place potatoes and garlic in the pot.
6. Cook on medium heat until potatoes are done.
7. Add bacon (optional)
8. Salt and crushed red pepper to taste
9. Simmer for another 10 minutes.
10. Turn to low heat.
11. Add kale and cream
12. Heat through and serve
