Ingredients

Dice one ripe pear with skin on. Makes 1 cup fruit.
Add 1 ripe banana to mixing bowl (can use a frozen one). Add 1/4 cup brown sugar, 3/4 cup old fashioned oatmeal, 1/4 cup whole wheat flour, 1 Tbs cinnamon and 1Tbs vanilla to bowl and mix again.

Add 1/4 tsp salt, 7 Tbs of chocolate chips, 1/2 stick of unsalted butter, 1/3 cup of instant dry nonfat milk, & 2 oz each of pecans & walnuts (4 oz total). Mix well.

Grease a baking pan well. If you use a square pan, you will get a thicker bar & it will take longer to cook. A rectangle pan will be too large for the batter, but the time to cook will decrease.

Tips

Can bake in pan & cut into bars. Or drop onto pan. I cooked as bar cookie.

Directions

Bake on greased cookie sheet at 350 degrees. Time will be from 20 to 30 minutes. Done when toothpick inserted into cookie bar comes out clean.

Serving Size: Makes 24 servings about 1 1/2" in diameter
