Introduction
Easy turkey and stuffing dinner! Easy turkey and stuffing dinner!Number of Servings: 8
Ingredients
-
2 Turkey breasts, raw
3 tbsp melted Butter, salted
1 cup chopped Celery, raw
1 large chopped Onion, raw
1.50 cup Chicken stock
8 oz Pepperidge Farm Cornbread Stuffing Mix (dry mix)
0.50 cup Ocean Spray Reduced Sugar Craisins
0.25 tsp Thyme, ground
0.25 tsp Pepper, black
0.25 tsp Salt
0.25 tsp Garlic powder
0.25 tsp Rosemary, dried
Tips
You may have to adjust the amount of liquid (chicken stock) used depending on how you cook it. I used less chicken stock because I knew the stuffing would also absorb the juice from the 2 turkey breasts cooking with the stuffing in the Crock-pot.
Directions
1. Mix chopped celery, onion, Craisins, and dry stuffing mix in Crockpot. Add melted butter and chicken stock. Mix thoroughly.
2. Place the two raw turkey breasts in the center of the Crockpot.
3. Mix thyme, black pepper, salt, rosemary, and garlic in a small bowl. Sprinkle the spice mixture over the turkey.
4. Cover and cook on high for about 3 hours. If you like your stuffing less mushy, add the packet of cornbread stuffing in the last 30 minutes to 1 hour of cooking.
Serving Size: Makes 8 1-cup servings
