Ingredients
-
1 banana (frozen preferred for thicker consistency)
1/4 cup blueberries (fresh or frozen)
5 medium strawberries (fresh or frozen)
3/4 cup kale
3/4 cup spinach
1/2 to 1 cup Silk Light Vanilla Soy Milk (1 cup will increase WW points value to 4)
2 tbsp ground flax seed (optional; omitting flax will decrease points value by 2)
sweetener to taste, if desired (honey, maple syrup, stevia, agave; your sweetener of choice may effect the nutritional value)
water for additional liquid
Tips
To freeze bananas, simply peel, slice, and wrap in foil. For convenience you can make freezer packs with pre-measured ingredients (such as the blueberries and strawberries; spinach and kale may also be frozen). This is a versatile recipe, use whatever kind of fruit you like; banana is highly recommended if you do not want the "green" taste.
Directions
Place all ingredients in blender and mix on high speed until well blended. Water will be needed for additional liquid. The more frozen fruit you use, the more water you may need. Using frozen fruit helps to produce a thicker consistency.
