Ingredients

    1/2 cup butter
    1 cup sugar
    2 eggs
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    2 1/2 cups flour
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

Tips

Decorate as desired. I sprinkle with colored sugar prior to baking.


Directions

Sift flour, salt and baking powder. Cream butter. Add sugar gradually. Add well beaten eggs and vanilla alternately with sifted dry ingredients. Chill thoroughly. Roll out on floured board and cut with cookie cutters. Use greased cookie sheets. 375° for about 10 mins.
