Ingredients

3 sticks Margarine, melted and cooled down
1-1/2 Cups Sugar, 1.5 cup
6 Large Eggs
1 tsp Anise Extract
3 cups Flour
1/8 tsp Salt
Tips
First batch of cookies will be dark from excess oil and may be discarded.
Directions
Put margarine in bowl; add sugar and mix together. Add eggs, one at a time. Add anise extract, flour, and salt. Mix together. Dough will be thick.
Lightly grease grids of Pizzelle Iron.
Drop dough by rounded tablespoon on each grid. Bake 40-60 seconds (or until light brown).
Carefully remove from Iron and place on cooling rack. Trim around cookies with scissors. Save cookie crumbs to use for toppings on pudding or fruit desserts.
