Ingredients

1- 16 oz pkg dry navy beans, rinsed
6 slices of turkey ham, diced
8 C water
2 bay leaves
1/4 C chopped onion
2 chopped carrots
1/2 salt
1 tsp pepper
Directions
Combine ham, beans, water, bay leaves, and onion into a large soup pot or dutch oven. Bring to a boil and then decrease heat and simmer for 2-3 hours until beans are soft. Add carrots after checking beans and cook for an additional 30-45 minutes.
