Ingredients

    1/4 C chopped onion
    1 tsp butter
    1T + 1 tsp Olive oil, divided
    1 can Tomato sauce
    oregano, basil to taste
    1 clove garlic
    6 large shrimp
    2 oz calamari rings
    10 small scallops
4 oz pasta of your choice
1/4 C of dry red wine

Tips

To lower the calories, you could eliminate butter and cut back the olive oil and limit the fish, but part of what gives this dish it's rich flavor is all of those things. This is a "cheat day" meal for me because with salad and veggie it is over 500 calories, but it's worth it!

Directions

In a large pan heat butter and 1 T of ollive oil on medium heat. Cook onion about 5 minutes or until soft. Add tomato sauce and bring to a boil. Turn down heat and add red wine, garlic, basil and oregano. Simmer about 20 minutes (can go longer if you have the time).

Cook pasta. Meanwhile, cook the fish as follows.

In a separate pan, heat the remaining teaspoon of olive oil and saute the scallops for about 3 minutes before adding the squid and shrimp. When pasta is done, mix everything together. Serve with parmesan if desired.
