Ingredients

1/2 Cup Kale, chopped. Don't use main stem (too bitter)
    1/2 Cup Spinach, chopped.
    1/2 Cup Romaine Lettuce, chopped.
    1/2 Cup Celery, chopped.
    Ginger, one inch slice, peeled.
    1 Banana
1 Cup Pineapple, okay to use frozen pieces.
1 Serving Vanilla Whey Protein Powder, your choice.
    1/4 Cup Activated* Cashews
    2 Cups Water

If using a Vitamin, put water in first then all other ingredients and blend for 60 seconds. Add more (or less) to get the thickness you desire. Yields 32 ounces or 2 servings in our house. Because I prep this recipe for the week, I don't need to add ice as I store this green "base" in the freezer.

Add different fruits to the green base to change the flavor. Play with it! Have fun exploring while you get healthy!

    * To activate your cashews, place cashews in one cup water and soak for no less than 2 hours and no more than 4 hours. Cashews tend to get slimy after 4 hours.

Tips

For those that prep foods for the week, this is what I do. I place the chopped Kale, Spinach, Romaine, Celery and Ginger in Quart sized Ziplock Freezer bags and store in Freezer.
