Introduction

Ingredients

    2 pounds ground beef
    4 ounces cheddar cheese, shredded
    1/3 cup low carb bbq sauce
    2 eggs
    1 Josephs Flax Oat Bran & Whole Wheat Pita Bread
    1/4c chopped onions
    2 tsp garlic powder
    1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
    1 teaspoon dried cilantro, or 2 tablespoons fresh
    1 teaspoon seasoned salt, or to taste
    1/2 teaspoon pepper, or to taste

Tips

Can also make individual servings in a muffin tin. I baked the large 12 count tin for 30 minutes and they were delicious.


Directions

Chop pita bread in food processor or blender. Set aside. Chop onion and set aside. Place hamburger in large mixing bowl, add all ingredients and mix thoroughly. Place in loaf pan and top with catsup or BBQ sauce if desired. Bake at 375 for 45-60 minutes.

Serving Size: Makes 1 loaf pan 8 servings
