Ingredients
-
4 4oz Swai Filets
(DO NOT USE Talapia - It is the fish used in sewage plants to clean the water, eating them is eating sewage! Talapia is NOT found in Rivers, Steams, Lakes or Oceans, It is SERIOUSLY BAD for you and your family))
4 tbsp Honey mustard(I make my own)
1 raw egg
1/4 cup seasoned bread crumbs
1/4 cup almond meal
dash of salt, pepper and paprika
Tips
If you need more flavor, I've added crushed garlic to the batter as I whisked it to provide a bit more depth.
Directions
Wash off your fish and dry with paper towels(Yes this is necessary)
Season fish with salt, pepper and paprika to your liking
Whisk your egg and honey mustard together to make batter in a shallow dish
Mix the bread crumbs and almond meal together in a shallow dish
Dip each filet in the batter, coating both sides then dip in bread crumb mixture to coat.
Refrigerate fish for 15 mins to let batter and coating set
Spray a pan with non-stick spray and heat med-high. Cook fish, browning on each side until cooked through.I place a lid over the fish after I've flipped them to help them cook and keep them moist.
Serving Size: Makes 4 - 4oz breaded filets
