Introduction

Chili with Kidney Beans base Chili with Kidney Beans base
Number of Servings: 20

Ingredients

Jennie-O Lean Ground Turkey, 40 oz
Onions, raw, 2 medium (2-1/2" dia)
Green Peppers (bell peppers), 2 cup, chopped
    Celery, raw, 1.5 cup, diced
    Tomato Puree(Meijer Naturals), 6.5 cup
Meijer Naturals Petite Diced Tomatoes, 3.5 cup
    Dried Kidney Beans, 3 cup
    Tone's Chili Powder, 8 tbsp

Tips

Season to taste.
If you like heat then it would be best to add the spice while browning the meat as it will absorb and say with the meat and not be diluted in the entire chili.
If you would like the heat across the entire chili then you will need to add the spice of choice once everything is mixed.

Directions

Put beans into container and cover with water. Seal container and let sit over night. **Note: Add more water after a few hours if needed.

Once beans have soaked then you can put them into the Crock Pot for 8 hours with water to slow cook for 8 hours.

As the eight hours gets close to being done you can begin the prep of the following:
Dice the Onions
Chop up the Peppers
Dice the Celery
Open the Cans of Tomato Puree and Diced

Finally you need to brown the turkey.
Once the turkey is brown and juicy add the Chili powder and stir.

Once the meat is fully coated and ready you can begin adding the vegetables and beans.

**Note 2: We had to split this up between two large pots

Once everything is added and stirred in together to full mix everything you can add 1 cup of water and let simmer for a few hours.
