Introduction

Ingredients

    Ground Beef 2 lb
    Ketchup 1 1/2 cup
    Prepared Yellow Mustard 1 tsp
    Onion fresh or powder- to taste.
    Salt/ Pepper to taste
    Garlic - if desired.
    Liquid Smoke 1/4 tsp.

Tips

Try different seasonings- I sometimes add garlic- or use seasoning salt instead of the salt and pepper. Mrs Dash is good too. Just remember that a very tiny amount of liquid smoke goes a LONG way! I learned early on to use a measuring spoon and NOT over the pan!


Directions

Brown ground beef with onion, salt, pepper. Drain, and return to pan. Stir in liquid smoke ketchup, mustard. Simmer for about 5 minutes. Ketchup is approximately 3/4 cup per pound. Adjust amount for desired consistency. I prefer mine a little thicker, so use just a tad less ketchup. I use about 1/4 cup per bun. (I'll have to update serving sizes after I cook this tonight- for calorie accuracy.)
