Introduction
I like using my waffle maker, but regular waffle recipes aren't exactly the healthiest. So I came up with this one. It's not bad. I like using my waffle maker, but regular waffle recipes aren't exactly the healthiest. So I came up with this one. It's not bad.Number of Servings: 4
Ingredients
-
1 cup of oatmeal, dry/plain
3/4 cup of applesauce, unsweetened
1 egg
1 tsp of cinnamon (optional)
Tips
I did put a little butter on my waffle maker to make sure it didnt stick since it's the first time I tried making them. But you know your own waffle maker so if you dont need it, dont use it.
Directions
Preheat waffle iron/maker.
Place the oatmeal in a blender and grind it to make oatmeal "flour." Add applesauce, cinnamon and egg to the blender and mix well in the blender.
Pour a portion of the mix in the waffle maker, let cook, enjoy!
Serving Size: Makes 4 waffles (on a standard square waffle maker)
Number of Servings: 4
