Ingredients

    4 slices Bacon, chopped
    1 Bell Pepper, chopped
2 large stalks of Celery, chopped
    1 large Onion, chopped
    1 lb. Ground Beef
1 cup long grain White Rice
    1.5 Tbsp. Gebhardts Chili Powder
    2 8-oz. cans Tomato Sauce
    1 8-oz can Water

Tips

Recipe may be doubled for larger crowds. Ground chicken, pork or turkey can be substituted for the ground beef. Salt and pepper are not necessary. I suggest you taste the finished dish before you add any.

Directions

Chop bacon, onion, celery and bell pepper. Brown in skillet until bacon is half cooked. Add ground beef, rice and chili powder and fry until meat is brown. Add tomato sauce and water. Cover. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and cook 20-30 minutes on low heat. Stir several times adding more water if necessary.
