Ingredients

16.5 oz Cake, yellow, dry mix, pudding-type
    1.25 cup Applesauce, unsweetened
    1 tsp Cinnamon, ground
    0.5 tsp Ginger, ground
    1 tsp Nutmeg, ground
3 large Egg, fresh, whole, raw
1 medium , peeled and grated

Tips

I used a combination of homemade cranberry-pumpkin butter and quince sauce because I was saving my applesauce for apple butter. Applesauce (unsweetened) is easier to obtain.

Directions

With mixer on low speed combine cake mix with 3 eggs. Add applesauce and spices and beat well. Grate 1 medium (peeled) apple directly into mixing bowl and mix well. Put in 9x13 inch pan (I think mine was 10x14) that you sprayed with Pam Baking Spray (contains flour). Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes, until cake tester comes out clean. Leave plain, or dust with cinnamon sugar before serving.
