Ingredients
-
1 package of Hillshire Farms Smoked Sausage (can use turkey sausage to cut calories)
1 Medium to Large Green Bell Pepper
.25 cup of onion to taste
small package of sliced mushrooms
garlic and parsley for flavoring
2 packages of Lipton Rice Spanish Rice and .25 cups of shredded cheddar cheese
Directions
in a microwave safe bowl combine 4 cups of water and lipton rice mix cook for 20 minutes.
In the mean time slice meat and vegtables and place in a medium to large frying pan on medium for 10 minutes. No need to add oil the meat has enough fat for that. Add water so meat and vegtables don't burn and stick. Add spices to your taste. Simmer until vegtables are soft.
When rice is done sprinkle cheese over top and serve!

I doubt I would make this Good Lord look at the FAT content!!! That's more than I consume in one day. - 6/23/08

You are sooo right. It was an experiment that I will NEVER make again. Posted it so I could break down the serving sizes because my husband and I both use SP. It's an OK quick fix but thats about it.
