Directions

In a large, heavy based pan, sweat onions with garlic, olive oil and a little salt. For around ten minutes.
(Peel and chop potatoes to boil and mash)
Add bay leaf and milk and turn heat right down. Add fish and cover; poach for about ten minutes.
(Meanwhile, peel and chop carrots and broccoli; steam.)
Remove fish from pan and flake onto a plate; set aside.
Slake cornflour with a little cold water, add to the hot milk in pan and whisk thoroughly. Bring to boil then simmer whilst stirring well for about five more minutes. If sauce too thick, add some veg water. Season to taste.
