1 package imitation crab meat, chopped
1 package wonton squares
1 package low-fat cream cheese
1 bunch green onions/scallions, diced
salt and pepper to taste
3 tbsp. water
Directions
1.Preheat oil in a large pot or deep fryer to 350 degrees. In a large bowl mix together the crab meat, cream cheese, onions, salt, and pepper.
2. Open the package of wonton wrappers and take one sheet and lay it on your cutting board. Next, put about 1/2 - 1 tsp of filling depending on consistency in the center of the wonton wrapper.
3. Using a brush, brush the water on the outside edges of the square. Fold edges over and make sure you have it well sealed. You can use your imagination to make whatever shape you want.
4. Next take all the wontons you have just made and place 3-5 depending on the size of your pot. once they float up and turn golden brown, take them out and place them onto paper towels to drain off the excess oil. Let them cool for about 10 minutes and serve, or you can refrigerate them overnight and serve them cold as a snack the next day.
