This is the way to make cakes if you really have to have a cake fix. Yum. I have tried diet cherry soda to white cake. It is good. Try chocolate cake with 7-up and sugar free chocolate pudding with sliced strawberries on top. Delish! - 7/26/07

I've done this before and its great. I've found that adding a small carton of egg beaters helps keep the cake together and only adds a few extra calories

I was skeptical, but this were very good! They were very moist and we found that they didn't hold together as well as the regular, nor did they rise as much, but they tasted delicious! I can't wait to try other flavor combinations. - 4/21/08

My college-age daughter made this as a sheet cake. It said to bake 30 min on the box, and it needs it. It was great and we used orange diet soda and a chocolate cake mix. - 8/21/07
