Ingredients

    1 cup Butter, unsalted
    2 cup Flour, white
    1 cup Brown Sugar (serving 1 cup packed) (by BKAYEF)
    1 cup Granulated Sugar
    2 serving Egg - Large (1 egg)
    1 tbsp Vanilla Extract
    2 tsp Cinnamon, ground
    2 tsp Ginger, ground
    1 tsp Baking Soda
    6 serving 100% whole grain oats/oatmeal Kroger

Tips

I had to try a couple times to get the time right, the Kroger oatmeal box says 10 to 12 minutes, but I find that about 20 minutes makes for a more old fashioned crunch like my Mom learned as a 1st generation American Schmeckpeper.


Directions

Preheat to 375F, and mix creamed butter, eggs, sugar, and vanilla into the flour. Then mix in the oatmeal. Drop a nice sized soup spoon dough into your pan or sheet. I don't bother with greasing my old cast iron.

Serving Size: Makes about 6 pans of seven cookies.
