Introduction

Ingredients

    3 oz Salmon Filet, Wild Caught(Sea Queen)Aldi
    1 small Sweet potato, cooked, baked in skin, without salt
    70 gram(s) Japanese Sweet Potato, Purple Skin White Flesh (by MISSDAISY23)
    1 large Egg, fresh, whole, raw
    .5 serving Old Fashioned Quaker Oatmeal- Plain (1/2 cup dry)
    .25 cup Parsley
    0.15 cup Red Onion Raw (1/4 cup, 40g or 1.4oz)
    .13 tsp Onion powder
    .25 tsp Thyme, ground
    .25 serving cumin ground .5 tsp (by MAKERSGIRL)
    .15 tsp Pepper, red or cayenne

Tips

These can be served as a main course for any meal or can be served as appetizers.

The seasonings can be adjusted or changed to personal preference or to match ethnic flavor profiles.


Directions

Finely chop the salmon filet (canned salmon may also be used)

Cook the sweet potatoes in the microwave (I used one I had baked previously. They can also be boiled.)

Beat the egg with the parsley, onion powder and other seasonings and spices

Mix the egg mixture with the sweet potatoes and fish

Add onions and oatmeal

Mix thoroughly, form into balls then flatten into patties

Refrigerate briefly, then cook in non-stick skillet with small amount of oil.

Serving Size: makes about 10 patties approximately 2 inches in diameter
