Introduction

This steam egg is easy to make and looks pretty. Both kids and seniors will like it. For vegetarians, shrimps can be replaced by broccoli. Ingredients

    Egg, fresh, 2 medium
    Water (cool down after boil), 0.8 cup
    Salt, 1/4 tsp
    Shrimp, 4 medium
    Pepper, white, 1/4 tsp
    Sesame Oil, 1/2 1tsp
    Parsley 1 sprig (optional)

Directions

1. Cut each shrimps into 3 to 4 small pieces. Pad dry with kitchen towel. Add 1/8 tsp pepper and 1/4 tsp sesame oil and stir a little bit.
2. Cover the shrimps and put into the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
3. Take out the shrimps and halfly cooked them in boiling water or microwave.
4. When shrimps are ready, put eggs and salt into a bowl and whrisk until bubbles formed.
5. Add water into the egg mixture. Whrisk again until they mix well. Add shrimps and stir well.
6. Transfer the egg mixture into a shallow dish. Take away the bubbles with a spoon.
7. Boil some water in a pan and put the shallow dish (with egg mixture) on the boiling water. Cover the pan and steam the eggs for 2 minutes.
8. Turn off the heat but do not remove the cover of the pan. Let it stand for another 20 minutes.
9. Add 1/8 tsp white pepper and 1/4 tsp sesame oil and garnish with diced parley. Serve hot.
10. This makes 1 dish but it is good for 2 servings.
