Number of Servings: 3


    Yogurt, plain, low fat, 1 cup (8 fl oz)
    Salt, 1 tsp
    Granulated Sugar, 2
    Water, tap, 3 ice cube (3/4 fl oz)
    Water, tap, 1 cup (8 fl oz)


Place all the ingredients in a blender including ice and blend until it is a bit frothy.

Serve chilled.

Serves 2-3 people.

    Thanks for sharing this other way of making lassi! I'll try it!
    To make it traditional, Punjabi-style lassi, but with the health twist to it, is take low-fat buttermilk, fill it one third of the way in an 8-ounce glass, the add cold water and ice to the rest of the glass and stir and enjoy! =) - 6/25/08

  • Very good, but it needs just a little something else to be exactly like I get it at my local Indian food place. I don't know what it is, though, so I'll happily stick with this recipe :-) - 6/1/08
