Introduction

Authentic German spaetzle, straight from my Oma! This is a great recipe for switching up types of pasta. The end result is a thicker egg type noodle. The only catch is that you cannot make them without a noodle press- mine was a gift from Germany... Authentic German spaetzle, straight from my Oma! Ingredients

    0.03 large Egg, fresh, whole, raw
    0.02 tsp Salt
    0.0 cup (8 fl oz) Water, tap
    0.03 cup Flour - Gold medal all purpose flour

Directions

Mix ingredients together well until it has a thick, sticky consistency. Spoon into spaetzle maker, and press into boiling water, slightly salted. After noodles rise to the top, approx 2 minutes, remove from water with blanching spoon, and serve! Optional: top with browned onions. Delicious served with any savory soup, sauce, or meat. Serving Size: 1 gram
