Ingredients

    4 cup dried navy beans. Soaked overnight and cooked until tender.
    8 slices sliced turkey deli meat (or bacon)
    4 medium Onions, thinly sliced
    1 tbsp black pepper (leave out to make regular Maple Baked Beans)
    1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
    2 large 28 oz tins Diced Tomatoes, including Juice
    4 tsp Salt
    2 tsp dry mustard
    1 tsp dried thyme
    2 pinches ground Cloves
    1/2 cup Molasses
    1 cup Maple Syrup

Directions

Place half the turkey in slow cooker. Add half the onions and half the beans. Pour over one tin of tomatoes. Repeat the layers.

Combine pepper, salt, mustard, thyme, cayenne, cloves, molasses and maple syrup. Pour over beans.

Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours (high for 4-5 hours).
