My go-to recipe for red beans and rice. This is a very generous serving. My go-to recipe for red beans and rice. This is a very generous serving.

Ingredients

    1 40.5 oz can Hanover Kidney Beans Light Red
    4 Aidells Cajun Style Andouille Smoked Pork Sausage links, sliced.
    1 cup, chopped Onions, raw
    1 cup, shredded Cheddar Cheese
    1 serving Green Onion (fresh-1 stalk)
    3 cup White Rice, long grain, cooked
    3 bay leaves
    1 tsp minced garlic
    1 tbl oregano
    1 serving Green Onion (fresh-1 stalk)

Directions

Cook onions in water until soft. Brown andouille and drain off fat. Simmer onions, andouille, beans, garlic, bay leaves, oregano and andouille together for at least 20 minutes. The longer the better. Serve on a bed of rice and top with grated cheese and green onion
