Introduction

So easy to throw together. Works equally well with limes. So easy to throw together. Works equally well with limes.

Ingredients

    4 c buttermilk (2%)
    2 c sugar
    2T lemon zest (peel)
    1/3 c lemon juice
    yellow food color optional

Directions

Chop lemon zest till fine. Combine it and all remaining ingredients in a large bowl and stir till combined and sugar mostly dissolved. I like to add just a drop of food coloring to give it a faint yellow color. Put in refridgerator till well chilled. Prepare in ice cream maker according to instructions. 1 serving = about 1/2 cup.
