Introduction

Adapted from Baking Bites. Crumpets are best served toasted and spread with butter, honey or jam for breakfast. They also make a healthy sandwich and are always able to be at hand since they freeze so easily! This is also a great way to avoid sourdough starter waste when you don't want a loaf of bread. Very Good
This recipe (without the cinnamon) is also on the King Arthur Flour site. I've tried it and it's quite good. I gave it only 4 stars because you neglected to state that you need to cook crumpets (also known as English muffins) in rings. - 7/26/18

    O.K.
I made these three times now - but without the cinnamon. I thought it was a good way to use sourdough starter rather than throwing it away.

My sourdough starter is rye flour based, so I found making this into crumpets a bit 'too' healthy or substantial.
