Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

1 small head of cabbage,or larger cut in slices
add clove of garlic, onion with water, cook about 1/2 hr.
with or without ground sirloin or turkey (I sometimes use both)
8 oz. can crushed tomatoes w/basil
    1/2 tsp. oregano,basil,parsley
    salt to taste or none
    pepper,garlic powder spinkle
low fat 1 cup mozzarella cheese
    1/2 c.cottage cheese
top with low fat Parmesan cheese

Directions

Cook cabbage, garlic, onion until cabbage is tender. Add meat if desired. I like it plain for a change. Add spices first, while cabbage is cooking then tomatoes a little at a time. I sometimes just have a little cottage cheese with the cabbage and skip the mozzarella. This can be done on top of the stove.Or, bake layered for 20 min. covered and 5 min.uncovered.

I'm wondering about the nutritional info. That definately cannot be correct. It seems as though the only item broken down was the cabbage. - 1/8/09

This was very good and easy. The house smelled great while it was in the oven. The nutrition info is wrong, though. None of the cheeses were included. - 3/11/11
