Ingredients

    2 cans black beans
    1 cup salsa

Directions

Puree 1 can of black beans with salsa (or to taste)
Pure into medium sauce pan
Add 2nd can of whole beans
Heat thoroughly
* I use Salpica Garlic and Chipotle (Hot) Salsa to give it extra spice, but any favorite salsa will do.

    this was really good. i wanted something hearty, easy, and good-this was it! i added cumin and brown rice to it. this is alot easier than other black bean soup recipes ive seen on here. thanks! - 2/9/09

    Made this and husband and picky son loved it! Then added some rice I had leftover in fridge - still good! :-) - 11/9/08
