Ingredients

    .25 cup Soya Sauce Reduced Sodium
    1 cup (8 fl oz) Water, tap
    .5 tsp Ginger, ground
    .25 tsp Garlic powder
    5 tbsp packed Brown Sugar
    1 tbsp Honey
    2 tbsp Cornstarch
    .25 cup (8 fl oz) Water, tap, cold

Tips

Add a sprinkle of sesame seeds over the top of your final dish for a bit of added iron.


Directions

Heat soya sauce and 1 cup of water over high heat.

Add ginger, garlic, brown sugar and honey and whisk to combine. Bring to a boil.

In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and 1/4 cup cold water with a fork until completely dissolved.

Add cornstarch slurry to boiling sauce and stir until completely combined. The sauce should thicken and as soon as you like the consistency, remove from heat and serve.

Serving Size: Makes approximately 2 cups or about 32, 1-tbsp servings
