grilled fowl or meats, fish--just about anything you
can imagine.
Number of Servings: 6
Ingredients

2 large (8-1/4" long) Cucumber (peeled, seeded, and very thinly sliced)
1 small Red Onion Raw
.5 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
4 Tbsp Granulated Sugar
.5 cup (8 fl oz) Water, tap
5 tbsp White Vinegar
.5 tsp Salt
Tips
Variations include:
Rice vinegar instead of white
Add thinly sliced red or green hot chilis in lieu of pepper flake,
Use palm sugar instead of granulated.
Directions
Toss the cucumber, onion and chili flakes together in a bowl.
In a small saucepan, over low heat, dissolve the sugar in the water.
Remove from heat and stir in the vinegar and salt. Pour this mixture over the veggies.
Stir and refrigerate until served.
