Ingredients
-
2 stick Butter, unsalted
1 cup Honey
12 cup Quaker Oats Old-Fashioned Rolled Oats
16 tbsp Shredded Coconut Unsweetened (Bob's Red Mill)
1 cup sunflower seeds - raw - Trader Joe's
1 cup, chopped Walnuts
1 cup Wheat germ, crude
.5 tbsp Salt
1 tsp Cinnamon, ground
.5 cup, unpacked Brown Sugar
1 cup Cranberries, dried, sweetened (craisins)
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 F.
Melt honey and butter together in a small saucepan over low to med heat.
In a large roaster pan, mix all other ingredients EXCEPT for dried cranberries (these will be added after cereal has baked).
Drizzle melted honey butter mixture over cereal and stir well to coat. ( A flat wooden paddle works great for this.)
Bake in 350 F oven for 30 to 45 minutes - STIR WELL every 15 minutes, being sure to scrape the bottom and sides of the pan each time. Bake until golden brown.
When finished baking, remove pan from oven and stir again. Allow to completely cool in pan. Once cooled, add dried cranberries, stir to mix in.
Store in air tight container. Makes approx 1.5 gallons.
