Introduction

Halibut Halibut
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    1 lb of Halibut
    8 oz of Diet Sprite zero
    6 tsp of Splenda
    2 Tbsp of Nu-Salt
    4 cups of water

    (Drawn Butter Sauce)
    4 Tbsp of Smart Balance Light
    Dash of salt
    1 teaspoon of garlic powder
    1 oz of lemon juice

Directions

Cut Halibut into 1" cubes, place them into a large mixing bowl and pour sprite zero over the halibut cubes. Let them marinate for 30 minutes.
Place 4 cups of water in to a large pot and bring to a boil. Add Nu-Salt and Splenda, stir to disolve. Add halibut to pot from mixing bowl, let cook for 5-6 minutes or until the halibut is floating on the top. Ready to serve with drawn butter sauce.

( DRAWN BUTTER SAUCE)
Place Smart balance in to a sauce pan and melt add lemon juice, salt, and garlic powder , stir to dissolve. Dip your halibut into the drawn butter and it will taste like lobster, The Poor Man's way.

    This sounds gross, marinating fish in diet soda and then cooking it in splenda flavored water? Also, I think the first ingredient in Smart Balance Light is water...so when you heat it up (which the label says not to do) wouldn't the water and oil separate? EEW! - 3/21/07
