Batter ingredients
1 cup Flour, whole grain
1 medium Egg, fresh, whole, raw
7 date Dates
2 tbsp Honey
3 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil (resreve 1 for sauce)
1 tbsp Bicarbonate of Soda (by LIZZY63)
1 tsp Baking Powder
0.25 tsp Cinnamon, ground
0.25 tsp Allspice
2 tbsp Bragg Apple Cider Vinegar
1.5 cup boiling Water, tap
Sauce ingredients:
1 cup boiling water
1 TBSPN honey
1 TBSPN brandy
1 TBSPN olive oil
10 mL Lemon Juice
0.25 tsp Cinnamon, ground
0.25 tsp Allspice
Directions
Batter:
Soak dates in 0.5 cup of boiling water
Add flour, egg, 3 TBSPN oil, 2 TBSPN honey, bicarbonate of soda and baking powder to a mixing bowl.
Add soaked dates and water. Mix well
Pour into baking dish and bake in a pre-heated oven at 180° Celsius.
Sauce:
Mix all sauce ingredients together and boil over medium heat while pudding is baking.
Pour over pudding after 45 minutes of baing and leave to cool down
